Painted Horse Loans FAQ: Answers About Your Loan Request

Straight answers about how the request form works, what lenders decide, and what happens before and after you accept an offer.

Painted Horse Loans FAQ: Answers About Your Loan Request

01

Using the service

Our service is a free online loan-request form. You fill it in once, we pass it to lenders in our network, and any lender that responds shows you its own offer to accept or decline.

What exactly does your service do?

We connect people who need a personal loan of $500 to $5,000 with lenders and lending partners in our network. You complete one short form, we share it with lenders that may serve your state and profile, and a lender (not us) decides whether to make an offer and sets the APR, fees and term.

Is there a fee to send a request?

No. There is no fee to use our service, and you are never charged for submitting the form, receiving an offer or declining one. Lenders may charge their own fees, such as an origination fee, which they must disclose in the offer before you sign anything.

How long does the form take to complete?

Most people finish it in about five minutes. Anyone who looked up painted horse loans on a busy day will find the form short on purpose. You enter the amount you need, your contact details, basic income and employment information and your bank account type. Having a recent pay stub nearby helps you enter income accurately, which reduces follow-up questions from a lender later.

Am I obligated to accept an offer?

No. Sending a request and receiving an offer creates no obligation. You can read the full terms, compare them with other options, and simply close the page if the offer does not suit you. A loan agreement only exists once you sign the lender's documents.

Can I send a request from my phone?

Yes. The form works on phones, tablets and computers, and the pages are built to load quickly on a mobile connection. Many people start a request on a phone during a lunch break and review the lender's offer later on a larger screen at home.

Can I change the amount after I submit the form?

Usually you can adjust the amount with the lender before you sign. Some lenders let you lower the personal loan amount inside their offer page, while others ask you to contact them. If you need a very different amount, starting a fresh request with the correct figure is often simpler.

02

Who can send a request

Most people who are 18 or older (19 in AL and NE), live in the US, have regular income and an active checking account can send a request. Each lender applies its own criteria after that.

Do I need good credit to send a request?

No. Lenders in our network review personal loan requests from a wide range of credit profiles, including fair and rebuilding credit. Your credit history affects whether a lender responds and the APR it offers, so a lower score usually means a higher rate, but it does not stop you from sending the form.

Can I send a request if I am self-employed?

Yes. Self-employed people, freelancers and gig workers can send a request. Lenders may ask for bank statements or tax forms instead of pay stubs to verify income, so keep the last two or three months of statements handy in case a lender asks.

Can two people apply together?

Our form is for one applicant. Some lenders allow a co-borrower to join during their own application process, which can help if your income or credit alone is limited. If that option exists, the lender will explain it after reviewing your request.

Can I send a request if I already have another loan?

Yes. Having an existing loan does not automatically rule you out of a new personal loan. Lenders look at your total monthly debt payments compared with your income, so a modest existing payment is often fine, while several large payments may make a lender cautious about adding another.

Do military members have any special protections?

Yes. Active-duty service members and their dependents are covered by the Military Lending Act, which caps the cost of most consumer credit at a 36% military APR and bans certain terms. Lenders are responsible for following these rules when they make an offer.

Where can I see the full list of requirements?

The eligibility page covers age, residency, income, documents and state notes in detail. It also explains what lenders look at beyond the basics and practical steps that can strengthen a request without promising any particular outcome.

03

Offers, rates and costs

Lenders set every APR, fee and term. Typical APRs across our network are estimated at 5.99% to 35.99%, with terms of 3 to 36 months, and every offer shows its full cost before you sign.

Who sets the APR on my offer?

The lender does. We do not set, quote or adjust rates. Each lender prices a personal loan using your credit, income, debt and the term you choose, under the rules of your state. The personal loan rates guide shows typical ranges and worked examples to help you judge an offer.

Can I get more than one offer?

Sometimes. Because your request can reach several lenders, more than one may respond. People comparing painted horse loans results this way get the clearest picture when they compare the APR, total repaid and amount you actually receive after any fee, not only the monthly payment. If only one lender responds, you can still decline it.

What is a typical example of total cost?

A representative example: $2,000 borrowed over 12 months at 24.99% APR = about $190.08/month, $2,280.96 repaid in total (estimate). A lower APR or shorter term reduces the total, while a higher APR or longer term increases it. Your own offer may differ.

Will an offer change after I accept it?

The terms in a signed agreement are binding on both sides. Before signing, a lender may adjust an offer if verification shows different income or details than the form. That is why accurate information matters: it makes the first offer you see more likely to be the final one.

Why did I receive an offer with a high APR?

Lenders price for risk, so factors such as a lower score, high card balances or a short credit history push APRs toward the upper end. You can decline the offer, work on those factors and try again later, or compare it with alternatives such as a credit union personal loan.

Are there any hidden fees?

Lenders must disclose the APR, finance charge, total of payments and any origination fee in writing before you sign. Read the agreement for late fees and returned-payment fees too. If a fee appears that was not disclosed, do not sign and contact us so we can review the lender.

04

Funding and repayment

Once you accept and sign, the lender sends funds, often as soon as the next business day depending on the lender and your bank. You then repay the lender directly on the agreed schedule.

How fast is money deposited after I accept?

Funding is often as soon as the next business day after a lender approves and you accept, depending on the lender and your bank. Accepting late on a Friday or before a holiday can add a day or two, since banks process deposits on business days.

Who do I make payments to?

You pay the lender, not us. The lender's agreement explains how to pay, usually by automatic draft from your checking account, and gives you a customer service contact for questions about your balance, due date or payoff amount.

Can I change my payment due date?

Many lenders let you pick or move your due date, often once during the personal loan, so it lands shortly after you get paid. Ask before your first payment if possible, and confirm the change in writing so automatic drafts follow the new date.

What if I miss a payment?

Contact the lender as soon as you know a payment will be late. Many lenders offer a short grace period or a one-time due date change. Payments 30 or more days late can be reported to the credit bureaus and may add a late fee under your agreement.

Will paying on time help my credit?

Many lenders report payments to one or more credit bureaus, so a record of on-time payments can support your credit history over time. Ask the lender which bureaus it reports to if building credit is one of your goals for the personal loan.

Can I estimate my payment before I apply?

Yes. Our personal loan calculator lets you enter an amount, term and APR to see an estimated monthly payment and total cost. It is a planning tool only; the lender's offer shows the figures that actually apply.

05

Privacy and security

We protect your information with encrypted connections and share it only with lenders and partners involved in handling your request, as described in our privacy policy. We never ask for upfront payment to process a request.

How is my personal information protected?

The form uses an encrypted connection, so data travels securely between your device and our systems. Access is limited to the systems and partners needed to handle your request. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why, and who it is shared with.

Who sees the information I enter?

Lenders and lending partners in our network that may be able to serve your request receive the details they need to review it. They are responsible for their own handling of your data under their privacy policies, which they share with you during their process.

Will sending the form affect my credit score?

Submitting our form does not change your credit score. Lenders may run a soft inquiry, which does not affect your score, to show possible terms. A hard inquiry usually happens only if you choose to move forward with a lender's offer.

Will I receive calls or emails after I submit?

You may hear from lenders reviewing your request, usually by email, phone or text, about your offer or to verify details. If you no longer want contact from a lender, tell that lender directly, and you can contact us to update your preferences.

How do I know a message is really about my request?

Real messages come from our domain or from a named lender and never ask you to pay a fee to release funds. Be wary of anyone who demands gift cards, wire transfers or cryptocurrency. Our guide on spotting a personal loan scam lists other warning signs.

Can I ask you to delete my data?

Yes. You can contact us to request access to or deletion of the information you submitted, subject to records we must keep by law. Lenders hold their own copies of anything you shared with them, so send a similar request to any lender you dealt with.

06

Questions, reviews and concerns

Questions about the form go to us; questions about an offer, a signed agreement or payments go to the lender. We also want to hear about any lender that treated you unfairly.

How do I contact you?

You can email [email protected], call (888) 468-5344, or write to 8042 Hickory Lane, Suite 297, Salem, OR 97301. Include the email address you used on the form so we can find your request quickly and answer accurately.

What should I do if I have a problem with a lender?

Start by contacting the lender's customer service, since it controls your personal loan. If that does not resolve it, tell us so we can review the lender's place in our network. You can also file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or your state regulator.

Why did I not receive any offer?

No lender in our network may serve your state, personal loan amount or credit profile at the moment. Nothing is charged when that happens. Trying again after lowering card balances, correcting report errors or requesting a smaller amount can change the outcome, though no result is promised.

Where can I read what other people say about the service?

Our reviews page shows comments from people who used the form, including mixed experiences such as a high APR offer or a slow lender. Read several reviews rather than one, and focus on details that match your own situation, such as the amount borrowed and its purpose.

Is this service available in every state?

Availability varies by state. Lenders are licensed state by state, and some states cap rates or limit loan sizes, which affects how many lenders can respond. The form checks your state automatically, so you do not need to research this yourself.

Can I give feedback about the website?

Yes. If a page is unclear, a figure looks wrong or the form misbehaves, email us with the page address and a short description. Feedback from readers who found painted horse loans through search is how we keep explanations accurate and the form easy to complete.
